Xixi Wang is a Canadian-American artist. Born in San Francisco, Xixi grew up in Vancouver and currently lives in New York City studying art history at Barnard College of Columbia University. Xixi started posting her work on Instagram in 2014 and has accumulated a following of over thirty thousand people. Her art career began with realistic graphite and colored pencil drawings, but she now specializes in acrylic paintings. She was awarded three national gold medals in painting from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, which led her painting Conserve to be featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her paintings have also been exhibited in Sharron Art Center’s 2017 charity art exhibition. In April of 2018, she published her first book, The Heart of Coloring: An Anatomical Heart-Themed Coloring Book.
Xixi is currently a tattoo designer and freehand artist for Inkbox and an intern at The Conversationalist.
